We encourage architects at all levels to send us their CV and portfolio, and we are actively searching for 2 Interior Designers/Architects, a Graduate Architect, a Project Architect and an Architectural Visualiser.


Interior Designers/Architects

We have 2 openings for Interior Designers/Architects to join our team and work on various large-scale high-end residential, private residential, commercial and cultural projects:

  • one Senior Interior Designer/Architect with 7+ years postgraduate experience
  • one Interior Designer/Architect with 2+ years postgraduate experience

Ideally, you will have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Experience in different building types and complex projects
  • Intermediate/advanced skills in documenting, space planning, preparing FF&E schedules, and liaising with consultants, clients and suppliers (depending of level of experience)
  • Strong 2D and 3D skills: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and advanced skills in Adobe CC
  • An excellent eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and “can do” attitude and a commitment to deliver outstanding work

The Senior Interior Designer / Architect will also have:

  • Experience in presenting to clients and coordinating consultants
  • Competence in managing an inhouse team and mentoring juniors

Graduate Architect

As Graduate Architect, you will work alongside a Project Architect, contributing to the design and assisting with DA, tender and construction documentation.

You have:

  • A minimum of 12 months post-graduate experience in an architecture firm, working on multi-residential or mixed-use projects in AutoCAD or Revit
  • A strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude
  • An eagerness to learn and a commitment to deliver outstanding work
  • Excellent 2D and 3D CAD skills: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino
  • Advanced graphic design skills: Photoshop, InDesign
  • Good communication skills
  • A BA Hons or Master degree in Architecture from a recognised university

Project Architect

As Project Architect, you will have the support of highly experienced directors and associates, ensuring your continuous growth and enabling your career progression within our team. You will work on various high-end, large-scale multi-residential projects from design concept through to delivery. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading projects from concept design to construction
  • Tracking the progress of each project and reporting to the directors
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Liaising with clients, council, consultants
  • Producing AutoCAD and Revit drawings, checking and marking up shop drawings, reviewing your team’s drawings
  • Leading a small team, mentoring juniors

The ideal candidate for the role will be an all-rounder with the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • 5 years postgraduate experience in coordinating complex multi-residential or mixed-use projects in a similar role
  • NSW Registration
  • Proven experience in coordinating a small internal team and liaising with clients, council, consultants
  • Proficient in documenting in AutoCAD and Revit
  • A high sense of responsibility with an excellent eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Mature communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and “can do” attitude
  • An eagerness to learn and a commitment to deliver outstanding work
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Thorough knowledge of BCA and Australian standards
  • A degree in architecture from a recognised university

Architectural Visualiser

We are looking for an Architectural Visualiser to join our design team. The ideal candidate has a background in architecture and interiors (or similar creative industries). The Architectural Visualiser is working closely with the design team and marketing team to create CGIs and develop design concepts and graphics to communicate projects to clients.

You have the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • a minimum of 2 years professional experience using 3DS Max, V-Ray and Photoshop, and high proficiency in designing, modelling, texturing and lighting within 3D
  • the ability to work on multiple projects, juggle conflicting deadlines and work well under pressure
  • a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude
  • excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • a strong focus on team collaboration

In this role, you will:

  • work closely with the architectural teams in preparing 3D visualisation
  • convert initial design concepts into a graphic representation, reproducing the architect’s concept into a graphic form, photorealistic 3D renderings and/or animations
  • accurately interpret architectural illustrations, 2D CAD files or 3D modelling data as specified within projects, and transform the designs into visually appealing imagery
  • compose 2D images, finish and retouch 3D renderings
  • play a key role in preparing documents for submissions and presentations
  • explore new technologies (both hardware and software) to expand Koichi Takada Architects’ services, improve the quality of visualisations and increase efficiency (eg. research new rendering engines, pipelines and assets, as well as emerging trends such as virtual reality)
  • develop and maintain a software library suitable for architectural rendering needs and applications.
