Sydney’s East Village project, designed by Koichi Takada Architects has been shortlisted in the World Interiors News Awards 2015.
The building in Zetland, three kilometres from Sydney’s CBD, was opened in late 2014 and its design was inspired by some of the world’s great marketplaces, like New York’s Chelsea Markets and Barcelona’s Boqueria.
The building has a fresh food market, 50 shops, restaurants and cafes, a health club and medical centre.
The winners of the World Interiors News Awards will be announce on the 2nd of December 2015 at London’s Sky Garden.
East Village won the Development of the Year award in Australia’s 2015 Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards.
